Description |
Souvenir wood cup/dipper from Norway. A leather strap/thong runs from the base of the handle, into the handle and once formed a loop. The leather has broken at the bottom of the handle. The handle has three stripes (red, blue, red) painted, with the leather running over. At the base of the handle, "Norge" is inscriped with ink. As viewed from the bowl to handle, the left outside of the cup has a small painting of a person resting on a outcropping, with a mountain and blue sky in the background. The wood is very light weight; it appears to have been machine turned/carved then finished by hand. The exterior of the bowl and the handle appear to have been treated with oil. |
